Hardware Installation



Unpack the TCPLINK unit and make sure that all required parts are present:

  1. the TCPLINK unit itself, which is a printed cirquit board with an ASPECT I/O bus egde connector and an USB bus connector to an PC.
  2. 1 USB bus cable
  3. 1 installation diskette for the ASPECT 3000
  4. 1 CD with the TcpLink software, USB driver and utility programms for the PC with Windows 2000
  5. 1 User's guide

The TcpLink will be plugged into the I/O bus of the ASPECT 3000. The best place is the connector at the rair panel of the display processor of the ASPECT. Please pay attention that the the labels (circle and square) on the TcpLink are at the same side like on the ASPECT connector.

Plug the USB cable into the corresponding connector of the TcpLink and turn on the power of the ASPECT. After this plug the USB cable into the USB connector of the PC (It has to be a PC with Windows 2000). The fist time you do this the PC will ask for a driver according to the used USB controller on the TcpLink. You will find it on CD in the directory driver.
